Christian Worship Music and Copyright Laws
It is so important for Christians to respect other
individual’s rights. That is how we think of
copyright laws. As a Christian whether Iranian,
Assyrian, Armenian, Afghani, or Citizens of Heaven no
matter what country we are from, we need to ensure
that we do not offend and disrespect other
individuals. That is why it is so important when it
comes to Christian worship leaders, worshipers or
ministers to do the basics. Sometimes it is as easy as
asking permission from the original author. For example for a lot
of Christian worship music (including Farsi Christian
(worship) music translated from English songs)
permission can be easily obtained through licensing
organizations such as Music Services located at:
http://www.musicservices.org/ or BMI (Broadcast Music
Incorporated) located at: http://www.bmi.com. For
Christian or worship and praise songs by Iranian,
Armenian, Assyrian or Afghani songs one can easily
contact the original artist and request permission.
Their contact information is usually found on their CD
or Album. You may want to also accomplish this via
electronic mail or letter correspondence.
The US Copyright office has a lot of good information
for U.S. Copyright Laws. You can access it at:
ttp://www.copyright.gov.
There are also other non US sites for reference such
as:
European Copyright User Platform:

WIPO (World Intellectual Property
Organization)
